Q. How do I make a booking?
A. You can easily book a service via the online booking form. The system will guide you through the process step by step.
Q. How far in advance do I need to book?
A. We suggest that you make your booking as soon as you have made your travel plans. However, you can email or call us at any time.
Q. How do I know that my booking has been successful?
A. When we receive your booking request and payment we will send you a booking confirmation. Please, make sure to check that all of the details we have sent you are correct and contact us immediately if there is any discrepancy.
Q. Will I be notified when my car arrives?
A. Your chauffeur will call you or send you a text message on arrival. He can wait with a name-board inside the car or ring your door bell. Please, specify your requirements upon booking.
Q. Where can I find your services price list?
A. A non-binding quote is easily obtainable via the form on our website.
Q. How can I pay?
A. We accept payments via our online secure payment system and bank transfers.
Q. When do I pay?
A. Non-account holders will be requested to pay at the end of the booking. Account holders can pay at the end of an agreed period of time.
Q. Are your prices VAT inclusive or exclusive?
A. All prices are VAT exclusive. VAT charged at 20% will be added to the final invoice.
Q. Can I change my initial booking?
A. It is advisable that you do that well ahead of the start of your journey. Additional charges and fees apply for last-minute cancellations, changed routes, stopovers, detours, extra hours, etc.
Q. Can I receive an invoice?
A. A VAT invoice will be issued at the completion of the service to non-account holders. Account holders can receive an invoice at the end of an agreed period of time.
Q. Do you offer long distance trips and tours?
A. Yes! Please call us or send us an email for quotations, and remember our fares are calculated per carload and not per passenger.
Q. Can I hire a chauffeur for a whole day or a longer period of time?
A. You can hire the chauffeur for as long as you require. Please, note that the minimum hire fee for the hourly service is 4 hours.
Q. Are all of your vehicles and drivers licensed and insured?
A. Yes, all vehicles and chauffeurs are licensed and fully insured. RV Chauffeurs is a licensed Private Hire operator.
Q. Do I have to pay a cancellation charge if I have to cancel a booking?
A. Please, refer to our cancellation terms and conditions.
Q. Do you charge waiting time?
A. Waiting time is charged only for our transfer service. The first 15 minutes are complimentary, any waiting time after the initial 15 minutes will be charged at £10 per 15 minutes.
Q. Do you charge the Meet and Greet service?
A. Yes, the Meet and Greet service costs £20 and the fee also covers up to 1 hour waiting time and parking.
Q. Will my chauffeur respect my privacy and confidentiality?
A. Absolutely. All of our chauffeurs have signed non-disclosure agreements with RV Chauffeurs and are legally bound to respect your privacy. Whatever is said in the car, stays in the car.
Q. Will I be given the name and telephone number of my chauffeur?
A. Yes, you will be given the driver’s name and mobile phone number.
Q. How old are your vehicles?
A. Less than 3 years old.
Q. How will I meet the chauffeur at the airport?
A. Your chauffeur will be holding a sign or a name-board. The chauffeur will also send you a text message before your flight lands if you have provided a mobile phone contact number.
Q. What additional costs might I be subject to?
A. You will always be offered a fixed rate for your ride.
Please note that the final price of your booking may be affected by any additional waiting time, stopovers, detours, car parking fees, etc. The initial 15 minutes waiting time is included in the price of every transfer service booking. Any additional waiting time is charged at £10 per 15 minutes.
The waiting charge does not apply in cases of flight or train delays, which are outside of the client’s control. The cost includes the initial waiting time of up to 60 minutes for airport and station pick-ups, counted from the moment of flight or train arrival, unless the customer has explicitly requested a later pickup time. Our team will monitor flight and train arrivals and dispatch chauffeurs accordingly to ensure punctuality in the case of delays or early arrivals.
For hourly bookings, a surcharge applies to any distance travelled in excess of the 10 miles per hour included in the fixed rate shown on the website. Each additional mile is charged at £2.50.
Q. Can I open a Chauffeur Account and how does it work?
A. Yes you can. Simply fill in the account opening form on the website. Once you have fill it in, send it back to us and your account should be up and running straight away subject to status. Depending on our agreement, your payment will be due either daily, weekly, fortnightly or monthly. We will send you an email showing a report of your usage which will be followed by your invoice. We will grant you a credit facility in this case but if you are a credit card or debit card account holder, we will always send you a breakdown of what jobs we have done for you in addition to your invoice/receipt.
Please note that for hourly bookings, the pickup location has to be within Greater London and 10 miles per hour are included in the price. Every additional mile costs £2.50. Please note that for transfer bookings, the pick-up or drop off location has to be within Greater London.
